Volunteers for Docents Needed at the Hagood-Mauldin House

Published: February 1, 2016

We need volunteers for Docents at the Hagood-Mauldin House.  The home is located at 104 N. Lewis St, Pickens and open from April through October on the third Saturday each month from10 am. to 4 pm.   Four people are assigned each Saturday and you would volunteer for April during the Azalea Festival and one or at the most two other Saturdays during the months open.  The duties would consist oflearning about the Hagood-Mauldin House and be assigned to one or two rooms to tell about the home and furnishings. Period clothing is not required.

This would be a wonderful opportunity to help the Pickens County Historical Society and learn more about this beautiful home moved to Pickens in l868.If you are interested in volunteering to be a Docent, please contact
