Lake Keowee

This lake is an extremely popular fishing area, bordering Pickens and Oconee Counties. The name Keowee is a Cherokee work meaning “place of the mulberries.” With thousands of acres of cool, clear water and hundreds of miles of shoreline, the lake provides a number of species, including rainbow and brown trout; small, large and white bass; black crappie; bluegill and threadfin shad. Boat access Crowe Creek, Mile Creek Park, Warpath Landing, Gap Hill Landing.
